Making Pottery!? Best Field Trip Ever!

Choose between Handbuilding (2nd Grade and older) or Wheel Throwing (7th Grade and older)

All private claydates include dedicated instruction, materials, glazing, and firing.

As the event organizier, you would pick up all projects approximately 5 weeks later.

Preferred days and times:

Handbuilding: Weekdays @1pm, Fridays @4pm

Wheel: Mondays or Fridays @1pm, Fridays @4pm

Please ask your transportation to arrive on time!

  • Handbuilding Field Trip


    2nd grade and older | minimum of 10- maximum of 20 artists | 1.25 hours

    Learn how to make a successful handbuilt project based on a pinch pot, using scoring & slipping techniques to create something awesome. Pinch pots can become almost anything—a custom mug or a cartoon character!

    Artists choose two colors for their projects, our staff takes care of the rest, and organizers pick everything up several weeks after the event.

    Pricing: $350 for up to 10, $35 each additional (max 20)

    Available: Weekdays @1pm, Fridays @4pm depending on availability.

  • Wheel Throwing Field Trip


    7th grade and older | minimum of 5- maximum of 16 artists | 2-2.5 hours

    Just like our adult Signature Claydate! Attendees create one handbuilding piece and get two tries on the wheel.

    Artists choose two colors for each of their projects, our staff takes care of the rest, and organizers pick everything up several weeks after the event.

    Pricing: $350 for up to 5, $55 each additional (max 16)

    Available: Mondays or Fridays @1pm, Fridays @4pm depending on availability.

  • Reservation and Cancellation Policy

    • All claydates require a $100 reservation deposit

    • Your deposit is refundable if you cancel up to 7 days ahead. You will not lose your deposit if you change dates up to 3 days ahead, or you can reschedule for inclement weather a minimum of 5 hours ahead.

    • The remainder is due on the day of the event, based on the confirmed number of guests

    • You must confirm your final headcount at least 3 days in advance

    • Final total is based on confirmed number (not attendance) to ensure proper staffing

    • Last minute guest cancellations will not affect the total
