What is a Claydate?

A claydate is a 2.5 hour event, where adults create three projects out of clay, choose colors (for the staff to glaze their projects later), and find out why everyone loves clay so much! Projects stay at the studio to fire twice, and are ready in approximately 5 weeks.

Ladies Nights, Couples Nights & Creative Claydates
Includes handbuilding and wheel throwing

• Who can sign up? Ladies Night is for Ladies, Couples Night is for couples, and Creative Claydates are for all adults. No experience necessary!

• We begin with a quick introduction to handbuilding with clay (not using the wheel just yet). Our clay artist will show you how to make whatever you want using pinching, coils, textures and scoring and slipping to create a clay masterpiece!

• Next, you will watch a quick, detailed demo of the potter's wheel — then it's your turn! Everyone will get 2 chances on the wheel to create SOMETHING! Keep in mind, the potter's wheel is not easy (we will help you A LOT!!!) So just enjoy the process!

• After you choose your glaze colors, we take care of the rest! Pick up your creations 5 weeks later! (WE WILL NOT CALL YOU!)

  $95 per person. 2.5-3 Hours. ($190 per couple)

Intro Wheel Workshops
Just wheel throwing!

• Learn the basics of wheel throwing, from weighing clay to centering, pulling the walls, and possibly shaping it into what we call a “sexy pot.” (Piqued your curiosity?)

• Students will get 5 tries on the wheel with 1.25 lb balls of clay and choose 3 pieces to keep.

• After you choose your glaze colors, we take care of the rest! Pick up your creations 5 weeks later!

  $95 per person. 2.5-3 Hours. Limited to ages 15 and above.
