An Adult Claydate for Everyone!
Choose a Signature Private BYOB Pottery Wheel or Handbuilding Claydate
What is a Claydate?
Mud offers two different options:
1. Private Pottery Wheel Claydate
Get 6 to 20 friends together for a Mud Clay Studio Signature Wheel Claydate. Bring some wine and snacks! It will be a memorable and unique evening for everyone!
We are usually booked weeks in advance. When contacting us below, please choose several date options!
You will begin with a quick intro to hand building with clay (not using the wheel just yet). Our clay artist will show you how to make whatever you want using pinching, coils, textures and scoring and slipping to create a clay masterpiece!
Next, watch a quick detailed demo of the potter's wheel — then it's your turn! Everyone will get 2 chances on the wheel to create SOMETHING! Keep in mind, the potter's wheel is not easy (we will help you A LOT...call us Patrick Swayze!) So don't be so hard on yourself!
Next — choose your glaze colors and we take care of the rest! Pick up your creations 5 weeks later!
These BYOB Mixed Ceramic Claydates include all materials, glazing, and firing. (Any guests who arrive late will miss important instructions, so please allow extra time for traffic.)
$570 for up to 6 guests. $95 each additional guest- maximum 20 (2.5-3 hours)
2. Hand Building Claydate
Perfect for a slightly less messy evening out with friends!
Hand Building Claydaters will create the hand built project using techniques such as pinching, coiling & slab building. Either choose from one of our signature projects that you can all do together, or each work individually making whatever you can imagine (with our help of course). NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. (No use of wheel)
Next — choose your glaze colors and we take care of the rest! Pick up your creations 5 weeks later!
These BYOB Claydates include all materials, glazing, and firing. (Any guests who arrive late will miss important instructions, so please allow extra time for traffic.)
$350 for up to 6 guests. $50 each additional guest- maximum 20. (2 hours)
For all claydates, our preferred days and times are: Thursdays or Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 1, 4 or 7pm, or Sundays at 4pm
