Adult Clay Classes

  • Hand Building -All levels

Learn the basic skills of pinch pots, coils & slab building. Create beautiful works of art by hand without the use of the potter’s wheel. Our instructors will work. No experience necessary!
More advanced members will take their basic skills to make interesting functional masterpieces

  • Pottery Wheel- Beginner/Intermediate

This class is great for complete beginners plus students with fewer than 6 months (3 sessions) experience. Instruction includes the basics of wheel throwing for novices, and refining skills for more advanced students, including sexy pots, nesting bowls, and throwing larger clay. We also encourage those with experience to hone their basic cylinder throwing skills.

  • Pottery Wheel- Intermediate/Advanced

This class is great for potters with 6 months (3 sessions) or more experience. Instruction on includes advanced forms such as lidded pots, bottles, closed forms, teapots, planters, chip and dips. Students can also choose to create their own personal projects with guidance from the instructor

  • Pottery Wheel- Advanced/ Independent Study

Members signed up for this class must be able to achieve basic cylinders over 2lbs. This is great for members pursuing personal projects, who may need guidance from our instructors.

  • Mixed Ceramics

Curious about both? Spend your first four weeks learning hand building basics: pinching, coils, and slabs. Then move to the wheel for four weeks, where beginners learn the fundamentals and returning students keep building skills. The wheel portion welcomes all levels, just know the class may include first-timers, so we ask our advanced students for a little patience.

  • Open Studio Membership

Experienced? Don’t need any instructions or advice (at least formally?) This is the option for you. Must have at least 6 months experience
