Adult Clay Classes

Hand Building -All levels
Learn the basic skills of pinch pots, coils & slab building. Create beautiful works of art by hand without the use of the potter’s wheel. Our instructors will work. No experience necessary!
More advanced members will take their basic skills to make interesting functional masterpieces -
Pottery Wheel- Beginner/Intermediate
This class is great for complete beginners plus students with fewer than 6 months (3 sessions) experience. Instruction includes the basics of wheel throwing for novices, and refining skills for more advanced students, including sexy pots, nesting bowls, and throwing larger clay. We also encourage those with experience to hone their basic cylinder throwing skills.

Pottery Wheel- Intermediate/Advanced
This class is great for potters with 6 months (3 sessions) or more experience. Instruction on includes advanced forms such as lidded pots, bottles, closed forms, teapots, planters, chip and dips. Students can also choose to create their own personal projects with guidance from the instructor.

Pottery Wheel- Advanced/ Independent Study
Members signed up for this class must be able to achieve basic cylinders over 2lbs. This is great for members pursuing personal projects and may need guidance from our instrutors

Surface Decoration
During this 8 week class, clay artists will be guided through several Decorative Techniques including, Nerikomi, Slip Print Transfers, Sodium Silicate, Wax Relief and Mocha Diffusion.

Pottery Wheel- BIG POTS
Members signed up for this class must be able to achieve basic cylinders. This step by step journey will advance from 3lb cylinders to pots over 7 pounds. Together we will grow to throw big pots together!
