Nicole Corvi

Clay Artist | Teacher

Nicole Corvi (b. 2001) is a ceramic artist and educator with nearly a decade of experience working in clay. She lives and works in the New Jersey suburbs and recently completed her B.F.A. in Ceramic Art at New Jersey City University in Jersey City, NJ. Alongside her studio practice, she is passionate about teaching her knowledge of the medium, focusing on wheel-throwing, surface techniques, and glaze experimentation; all while encouraging students to build confidence and develop their own personal style.

Corvi’s personal practice centers on how memory is preserved, endured, and embedded in material and place. Her work focuses on large-scale, wheel-thrown vessels that are non-functional, emphasizing presence over utility. Drawing from natural decay and abandoned architecture, she creates refined forms paired with experimental glazes that reference erosion, mold, and deterioration, producing surfaces that reflect processes of change over time within a permanent medium.
