Alyssa Herrera is an artist and educator, living and working in New Jersey. She was introduced to pottery first in college, when she joined the ceramics club in 2017. After graduation and post covid, her desire to create and heal brought her back to pottery in 2022.
Alyssa Herrera is a multidisciplinary practicing artist, focusing in ceramics, photography, and mixed media. Driven by her interest in natural and raw materials, Alyssa’s work has evolved from traditional drawing and painting, to abstract design and organic sculpture. Sustainability and intention are the driving forces behind her creations. She creates ceramic sculpture works that combine functionality and aesthetics.
Alyssa Herrera is traditionally trained in studio fine arts and education, with a BA in Fine Art Education from the College of New Jersey.
