Clay Artist | Teacher
Linda moved to New Jersey from California 3½ years ago. While her home studio was being built, she signed up for a throwing class at Mud and later participated in some Pop-Up Shops. When the opportunity came to teach hand building, she jumped at the chance and joined Mud.
Linda “loves being able to turn a 2D sketch into a 3D functional piece. Clay has endless possibilities.” She describes her style as mostly functional with a whimsical side. She likes to see how a pot is made by leaving exposed seams and not worrying that it is perfect. She also likes to add texture, allowing the glazes to break over the texture.
For Linda, the social aspect of the clay community is important – from sharing tips and tricks with others, to growing by being around other creative people. Linda enjoys teaching and sharing what she knows with others.
